STAMP DUTY CHAGES 2025

If you are a first-time-buyer this is something to pay attention to.

From March 31st 2025 the stamp duty threshold is set to change.

As things currently stand first-time-buyers pay NO STAMP DUTY on the first £425,000, but this will drop to just £300,000 from the 01st April 2025!

The first £425k is currently free of Stamp Duty Tax for first time buyers

From April 01st 2025 that drops to just £300k

Only the first £300k will be exempt. A £425k purchase will then incur 5% x £125k = + £6250.
